How the Zombie Apocalypse Is Totally Possible.

...behavior, movement issues, trouble standing, weight loss despite eating, decreased milk, and then death. (emedicinehealth.com) But that’s only in cow’s right? Wrong when a human eats the infected meat of a cow they can get infected with something called Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease. The symptoms for CJD are “Rapidly developing delirium or dementia (over the course of a few weeks or months), Blurred vision (sometimes), Changes in gait (walking), Hallucinations, Lack of coordination (for example, stumbling and falling), Muscle twitching, Muscle stiffness, Myoclonic jerks or seizures, Nervous, jumpy feelings, Personality changes, Profound confusion, disorientation, Sleepiness, and Speech impairment” (Nlm.nih.gov) If someone was to walk up to me with all these symptoms I would think that they were infected with something. Think about your stereotyped zombies: Dementia Changes in gait, lack of coordination, muscle twitching, stiffness, jerks, and the obvious personality changes. People with this disease already sound like they are infected with some sort of zombie virus. Now what if the virus were to mutate. They say that you never catch the same cold twice because the virus is always changing into a completely new one. What if Mad Cow disease became Mad Zombie disease? There wouldn’t have to be much of a change in the virus to reach the depiction of the zombies in the movie 28 Days Later, mobs of angry infected people that only want to do harm. There are other very common......

...“The difficulty in life is the choice”, 1 100% agree with this quote George Moore indeed would have gotten a vote from me when it came to come true this actually is. To explain his quote in other words; he’s stating the hardships and difficultly in life can most likely be avoided , you step into it and enhance it more that’s where the difficulty comes in which in some many ways could have probably be avoided . The book “Twelve Angry Men” by Reginald Roses is definitely a prime example of chosen difficulty when in many ways it could have been avoided. The teenager in the book “Twelve Angry Men” was on trial for the manslaughter of his own father. In my opinion that teen was all the way guilty. But majority of the 12 jurors saw him as innocent. Some pledged his innocence by justifying the manslaughter by saying he was “ a product of his environment” , claiming the boy grew up in the slums , had it bad all his life , from the robbing’s to the car theft even the stabbing his was involved in with another teen. But let’s be real it wasn’t mandatory for this teen to do those things. In all reality that young boy did those wrong doing himself all by his lonesome. Of course probably his environment gave him ideas and the thoughts in his head, but let’s thinks did the environment put the knife in his hand and forced him to kill his father? No right, so why the environment is the one to blame when it came to this boy reasons for killing his own father? No one lead him down the path of...

... But for the older group of sports fanatics and people who are looking for a cold one with the boys or with the gals, tagging on the phrase "Wings, Beer, and your favorite sports". We will use these different phrases with the places that we are going to advertise to these specific targets, which we will get to next. The first type of media we are going to use is event sponsorship to reach to sports fanatics and older men and women. Year around there are bowling leagues and softball leagues and soccer leagues that need to have team sponsors in order to pay for their equipment. This would be a perfect way to get our logo on a jersey and to promote coming to hang out after the game. I know that if I was sponsored by Buffalo Wild Wings that me and the boys would head to our sponsors place after the game. My personal favorite that we are going to do is our support media outdoor signage on route 24 targeting the flowing traffic coming from Fort Wayne, IN and Toledo, OH. There are going to be ten signs involved, five coming from either direction. One sign will be placed at the 69-24 loop and the other placed at the 75-24 loop just stating the Buffalo Wild Wings logo and promotion for Defiance, OH....

Me-- What Makes Me Me

...could do with music the way the seemingly subtle change of one thing could completely change the entire experience, emotion, and message that existed within a piece of music. High school is where I truly blossomed as musician. As a freshman, I began playing in the jazz band (which developed into my favorite style to play), I made first chair in the symphonic band over three seniors and a junior, I began learning how to play the bassoon, and I began to teach myself piano and guitar. Currently, I play alto saxophone, bassoon, clarinet, piano, and guitar. Being drum major has given me an experience that is like no other; I get to lead 141 other students every day, and I get to share this love of music with them and create something that will be left as legacy as new and old traditions and processes are passed down through years of students. It is all this history—all this personal expansion—that has lead me into wanting to continue my musical education and to be able to pass the art of music down to generations to come....

School and Me

...life changed totally, she studied knowledge, wrote books and became famous. For me, the most important day is the first day I went to primary school. I had no friends before I went to school. I didn’t go to kindergarten because my mother, who was a teacher, taught me at home. I learned without any classmates, I played alone and I shared my lunch with my mother only. I felt so lonely before I went to primary school. There was a school next to my home in my hometown. Every day at 5 pm, there were many students running out from school with smiling faces. Parents picked up their children and went home. I wanted to go to school like other children, chatting and playing with friends. However, I had no friends until I was 6. Before I went to school a month, I got a government letter saying I had to go to school because I was 6 which was the age to go to primary school. It made me excited. When I first went to school, I was so excited and scared. I had never met to other same age kids. I had no idea how to communicate with other kids even an opening conversation. When I was dropped off by my mother I was scared and cried. However, I was taken to a classroom by a teacher and I hid behind her. When my classmates saw that I was hiding behind the teacher, they made fun of me for a long time. I thought I would go home with a crying face but a few classmates came and talked to me at break time. They took me around to visit our school. At lunch time, some classmates sat with me and......

Responsible Me

...Responsible Me DeAndre D. Benson Gen/200 March 20, 2014 Judy Olson-Hammer Responsible Me The vast majority of the hurdles that exist in my life are existent due to the commitments that I have accepted. I committed to being a stable partner to my wife, to being a dedicated father, to display a good amount of volunteerism, and to uphold strong religious values. These standards bring challenges that require the use of appropriate time management, commitment, determination and confidence in order to be successful. It is my responsibility to approach my education with the same resilience I have in these other areas of my life. A person may conclude that I could not maintain a balanced life that consists of being a loving spouse, raising two children, working forty (40) hours a week, attending to my social endeavors, worshiping in my faith and studying for college. If asked why I would add college to my other tasks, I would say that at this point in my life, I recognize the career opportunities, earning potential and power a person has when they hold a degree. Through the years, I have always prioritized other responsibilities ahead of completing my college education, but I realize that there is no better time than the present for “responsible me” to take this on. Define Personal Responsibility In my efforts to define personal responsibility, I start reflecting on the values and principles that are core in my life, which keep me......

Be Me.

...licked my head, takes control of my head from a distant, glass reflection. I finally make my way toward the cold, bare bathroom. Recovered, I find myself looking into the lifeless reflection to prepare for another unstable day. To start, I set my hands to find the light switch which seems to avoid me. Light glaring into my poor, unaware pupils, I set my hands in warm-filled water. I bring my face alongside the running, sincere water. After hydration, I attempt to clear out the cow-licked hair-do; I reach for my sturdy, black comb and combat the cow’s drool! With no avail, I soon give up. I place my index finger on the power button of the high-powered, blue electric-shaver and trim the fur that guards my face from fierce colds. Next, I prime my toothbrush with invigorating, peppermint toothpaste and smoothly graze each special tooth. I then enrich my essence with refined, colorful fragrances. Widely awake, I dash toward the fridge and explore its contents. A glass of cold milk and protein bars fill me. The cocoa aroma of the breakfast bars surrounds me. I adore the refreshingly, cold liquid and chocolaty sweetness of the bars. After finishing my feast, a text from a classmate notifies me to leave for school. Soon after leaving my house, I started my silver Cadillac then drove to pick up a classmate and head to class together. Finally, we arrive at school just to find no available parking. Irritated by no available space, I realize that I’m going to be late to class. I’m......

Failure for Me

...In the blog post “Embracing Suckage”, Willam Van Winkle states that people should not care about how people think, but they should work hard to fix the failure that they have been made in order to learn and improve. I totally agree failure is the important part of human life because no one are born to be perfect and failure must be happened to all the people of the world. Few weeks ago, I got a new job in a Malaysian restaurant as a server. The first week is the hardest week for me because they have a lot of food names, ingredients and rules that needed to be memorized. Of course, I made a lot of mistakes in the first week, but I didn’t hesitated to fix the problem that I made. First, I was slow like a snail to type in the order on the computer, and my workmates had to wait me until I found the name and sent it in to the kitchen. Second, I often order some food that customer did not order because of some food names are similar. After I learned from all those fail, I learned all the food names, ingredients and rules in this coupe weeks. Now, I can type in order faster without mistake and take care of all the customer’s question professionally. Everyone must experience some fails to make things better and better. The best way to ameliorate ourselves is to fail repeatedly and learn from it to make the failure become success....

Its Me

...the speed at which the reaction took place. And that’s kind of important. Was our experiment well-conducted? Processing issues? For a few high-schoolers with no training or clue as to what they were doing, I’d say we met expectations. True, the lab itself proved to be inaccurate. But hey-- at least we had some data, and came up with conclusions of some kind. Some were not so lucky. Individual issues have been addressed several times-- namely the fact that the reaction itself took place over a much longer time than was necessary, making the temperature change much more gradual than we could have hoped; our max value was a lot lower than what I feel it would have been had we performed correctly. If I could run this experiment again, let me tell you exactly how things would go down. First, I’d use the most precise balance in the room, as compared to the one nearest my desk. Second, I’d first measure out my 50mL of HCl in a graduated cylinder before allowing it to react with the NaCl; better accuracy is better accuracy. We also clearly had time to run more than one trial, if our first one was so badly screwed up and yet we still came out with a final conclusion. Therefore, we should have run 2-3 in total. If one were to reproduce our results, they would have to screw up pretty badly in their experiment. The experiment itself isn’t that impossible to reproduce if done correctly, although it would be wise to add the part about catalyzing the reaction (as well as giving a......

It Is True to Me?

...Topic: It is true to me? There are a lot of things in the world which each person has each opinion about they are right or wrong. Relativists may have the belief that everything is relative absolutely. Relativism is also one of the four foundations of the world views. Based on the context, culture, religion...in which we are living, we hold that ethics and truth and have the answer for the question “It is true for me?” In different culture, people has a different perspective of behaving, thinking and feeling. Everyone has a different personal opinion of food, clothing, lifestyle.. For example, chewing is banned in Singapore. Marriage is the process by which two people make their relationship public, official, and permanent. In my opinion, it is true that the marriage is the joining of two people. However, in some African countries such as Nigeria, Kenya... They accept that a man can get married with more than one wife, therefore, when the beliefs conflict with our own, we do not try to judge whether a society’s custom is right or wrong. The difference in religion also makes the diversity. Other religious perspectives may be objectivist about our own perspective. We eat pork, but it is a forbidden food for Muslims. It is immoral to some Middle Eastern Islamic countries to drink alcohol or play gamble. Abortion which is defined the termination of pregnancy by the removal or expulsion from the uterus of a fetus or embryo before viability. In many countries,...

However, he was not the only one there his “friends” arrived to. I decided to just ignore that and jump to the 3ft high colled water pool I felt a chilling sensation while I hit the bottom of the pool and out of the sudden I started to feel fresh, a little confused but more alive than ever. The pool just awoke this feeling of being reborn, though I was still myself. When I decided to get out up me chilling water was washing out my visage, and that’s when I caught eye of him, It was like being in a drought and suddenly felling the raindrops. He definitely looked differently, I wasn’t sure of what but it made smirk. We both made eyed contact , he for sure saw me the same way, he couldn’t stop smiling but what was I doying, really derrick he was just a friend, no, he definitely dint feel like a friend anymore there was something more to this. Me, Me Me

...In January 2008 a British journalist, Sarfraz Manzoor, wrote an article with the title “Me, Me, Me” that appeared in the magazine “Esquire”. He gives his opinion on how the phenomenon “New Narcissism” has its influences on today’s society through the Internet. And he leaves us with the impression that there is a reason to be worried about today's youth being more narcissistic than ever before. Narcissism is not new for us. New Narcissism is a modern version of the phenomenon narcissism. And it has been known since ancient Greece with the Greek myth about Narcissus that fell in love with his own reflection in the water. The man that got narcissism recognized as a medical condition was Sigmund Freud (l. 53). But in our age, the word, narcissism, does not seem that serious and is mostly defined as a phenomenon. This New Narcissism has come to life because society reproduces itself (l. 59). And growing numbers of people are more narcissistic according to a study performed by psychologists. Sarfraz Manzoor, who has written this article, describes that New Narcissism is the offspring of today’s society. He makes an example by including a person named Chris Crocker. Crocker became famous because he put a video on the Internet where he defended the celebrity Britney Spears. There can be two reasons for his behaviour. Is he doing this to tell people that they shall back off and because he is fond of her? Or is he doing this to get attention? But it does not seem as if Britney is......
