Rolling In The Deep"

There's a fire starting in my heart
Reaching a fever pitch, it's bringing me out the dark
Finally I can see you crystal clear
[Clean version:] Go 'head and sell me out and I'll lay your ship bare
[Explicit version:] Go 'head and sell me out and I'll lay your shit bare
See how I leave with every piece of you
Don't underestimate the things that I will do

There's a fire starting in my heart
Reaching a fever pitch
And it's bringing me out the dark

The scars of your love remind me of us
They keep me thinking that we almost had it all
The scars of your love, they leave me breathless
I can't help feeling
We could have had it all
(You're gonna wish you never had met me)
Rolling in the deep
(Tears are gonna fall, rolling in the deep)
You had my heart inside of your hand
(You're gonna wish you never had met me)
And you played it, to the beat
(Tears are gonna fall, rolling in the deep)

Baby, I have no story to be told
But I've heard one on you
And I'm gonna make your head burn
Think of me in the depths of your despair
Make a home down there
As mine sure won't be shared

(You're gonna wish you never had met me)
The scars of your love remind me of us
(Tears are gonna fall, rolling in the deep)
They keep me thinking that we almost had it all
(You're gonna wish you never had met me)
The scars of your love, they leave me breathless
(Tears are gonna fall, rolling in the deep)
I can't help feeling
We could have had it all
(You're gonna wish you never had met me)
Rolling in the deep
(Tears are gonna fall, rolling in the deep)
You had my heart inside of your hand
(You're gonna wish you never had met me)
And you played it, to the beat
(Tears are gonna fall, rolling in the deep)
We could have had it all
Rolling in the deep
You had my heart inside of your hand
But you played it, with a beating

Throw your soul through every open door (woah)
Count your blessings to find what you look for (woah)
Turn my sorrow into treasured gold (woah)
You'll pay me back in kind and reap just what you sow (woah)
(You're gonna wish you never had met me)
We could have had it all
(Tears are gonna fall, rolling in the deep)
We could have had it all
(You're gonna wish you never had met me)
It all, it all, it all
(Tears are gonna fall, rolling in the deep)

We could have had it all
(You're gonna wish you never had met me)
Rolling in the deep
(Tears are gonna fall, rolling in the deep)
You had my heart inside of your hand

Danny Rolling

...Danny Rolling On August 20 1990, the university town of Gainesville, Florida was ranked as being the thirteenth best place to live in the United States by Money magazine. By the end of the week, American papers had renamed the town "Grisly Gainesville" after the bodies of five young students had been discovered brutally murdered and mutilated as they slept in their dorms. One weekend by one man transformed the excitement of the beginning school yeah into terror as hundreds of students fled, not knowing if and when he would strike again. A week later the media reported that the police had their number one suspect in custody, which created countless issues and ordeals for Edward Humphrey and his family. His case was simply being in the wrong place at the wrong time. Emotionally disturbed with a long history of strange behavior and violent emotional outbursts, he had seemed to police and the many witnesses to his antics, to be a prime suspect. With no evidence to hold him, the authorities somehow succeeded in stretching the limits of the law and had him locked away while they built their case around him. Before they could, the real killer was found. Danny Harold Rolling had moved on after his murders in Gainesville and was eventually arrested for armed robbery in Ocala, Florida. It would be some time before he would be linked to the homicides, and it would be longer still before Edward Humphrey's name would be cleared. Danny Rolling's story is a perfect example of how a......

Rolling Stones

...frame for the Rolling Stones is a task which requires envisioning a world before every memory one has ever made. “Timeless” would be an appropriate adjective, but “the 1950s” serves just as well. The band did not start as its line-up consists of today. Hardly, if any, bands have ever started like that. The Rolling Stones started as a small teen band named, “Little Boy Blue and the Blue Boys”, with Mick Jagger singing and Keith Richards playing guitar. The music they played was all covers; they played songs which came from the musicians which they enjoyed. At this time, there were not any new movements arising which were primarily British. In this post-World War II era, the biggest new genres emerging were jazz, country/western, and R&ump;B (rhythm and bass). With these being primarily American genres, many adults in Britain did not want their children listening to this unfamiliar new music. However, the Rolling Stones were always a group attracted to the idea of rebellion. Such influential figures were Buddy Holly, Muddy Waters, and St.-Louis native Chuck Berry. One thing the Rolling Stones were always known for, their stage act, started in 1962. As “Little Boy Blue and the Blue Boys” became “The Rollin’ Stones”, Mick Jagger, the front man of the group, slowly gained confidence. Stephen Davis in his 40-year span of the Rolling Stones entitled, “Old gods almost dead. The 40-Year Odyssey of the Rolling Stones”, describes Mick’s act as: “tossing his hair, rolling his eyes,......

The Rolling Stones

...The Rolling Stones are an English rock band formed in London in 1962. They were in the vanguard of the British Invasion of bands that became popular in the US in 1964–65. At first noted for their longish hair as much as their music, the Rolling Stones are identified with the youthful and rebellious counterculture of the 1960s. The band was instrumental in making blues a major part of rock and roll, and of changing the international focus of blues culture to the less sophisticated blues typified by Chess Records artists such as Muddy Waters, writer of "Rollin' Stone", the song after which the band is named. American music critic Robert Palmer said the Rolling Stones' "remarkable endurance" stems from being "rooted in traditional verities, in rhythm-and-blues and soul music" while "more ephemeral pop fashions have come and gone". The first settled line-up consisted of Brian Jones on guitar and harmonica, Ian Stewart on piano, Mick Jagger on lead vocals and harmonica, Keith Richards on guitar, Bill Wyman on bass and Charlie Watts on drums. Jones left the band less than a month prior to his death in 1969, having already been replaced by Mick Taylor, who left In 1975. Since then Ronnie Wood has been on guitar in tandem with Richards. Following Wyman's departure in 1993, Darryl Jones has been the main bassist. The band was first led by Jones, but after teaming as the band's songwriters, Jagger and Richards assumed defacto leadership. The Rolling Stones were inducted into the Rock...

Rolling Without Slipping

...Rolling Without Slipping TA: Dana Baylis Alyssa Lucero Group Members: Leslie, Sean, Gustavo, Eric Introduction In this lab, the effects of an object rolling down a ramp without slipping were studied and the role of friction on an objects velocity was witnessed. This was accomplished by rolling three objects, a hoop, a sphere, and a disk down a ramp while taking measurements with a Pasco motion sensor and special data acquisition software. Methods The length and change in height of the ramp were measured with a meter stick and used with basic trigonometry to determine ϴ, the ramps angle. Then the motion sensor was adjusted and set to wide beam mode with a pulse rate of 50 Hz. Next, a box was placed at the bottom of the ramp to stop the object. Three objects were then rolled down the ramp, a sphere (billiard ball), a hoop, and a disk, and measurement were taken for each of them. Analysis and Conclusion The obtained measurements were used to calculate acm, and were used for further analysis; these values can be seen in Table 1, below. Table 1. Data Obtained for Each Object Object | ti (s) | tf (s) | vf (m/s) | xi (m) | xf (m) | a (m/s2) | Sphere | 0.6948 | 1.4823 | 1.11 | 0.241 | 0.8335 | 0.966 | Hoop | 0.855 | 2.1665 | 1.36 | 0.117 | 0.993 | 0.674 | Disk | 0.5937 | 1.7245 | 1.38 | 0.123 | 1.0215 | 0.887 | Using the values obtained for a and Equation 1 from the lab manual, k was calculated for each object and then compared to the given k values for each...

Cold Rolling

...Cold rolling is a process by which the sheet metal or strip stock is introduced between rollers and then compressed and squeezed. The amount of strain introduced determines the hardness and other material properties of the finished product. The advantages of cold rolling are good dimensional accuracy and surface finish. Cold rolled sheet can be produced in various conditions such as skin-rolled, quarter hard, half hard, full hard depending on how much cold work has been performed. This cold working (hardness) is often called temper, although this has nothing to do withheat treatment temper. In skin rolling, the metal is reduced by 0.5 to 1% and results in a surface that is smooth and the yield point phenomenon--excessive stretching and wrinkling in subsequent operations, is eliminated. This makes the metal more ductile for further forming and stretching operations. Quarter Hard, Half Hard, Full Hard stock have higher amounts of reduction, upto 50%. This increases the yield point; grain orientation and material properties assume different properties along the grain orientation. However, while the yield point increases, ductility decreases. Quarter Hard material can be bent (perpendicular to the direction of rolling) on itself without fracturing. Half hard material can be bent 90º; full hard can be bent 45º. Thus, these materials can be used for in applications involving great amounts of bending and deformation, without fracturing. Annealing, in metallurgy and......

Magazine Controversy

...com/wp-content/uploads/2013/07/rolling-stone-the-bomber-ftr.jpg Terrorist’s a Visual Reality Magazine covers have always been known to push the limit. It’s a fantastic marketing ploy to grab the attention of consumers. Think about it, you are walking down an aisle or standing in line at the market to check out, what is going to stand out more to you and easily grab your attention? Is it going to be a magazine cover with a modestly dressed man or women? Or perhaps a magazine cover with a provocative Miley Cyrus or a cover with an extremely, well known very hated face for example? The more absurd or obscene the image the faster and more likely it is going to grab our attention. The Rolling Stone magazine cover did just that when their August 1, 2013 issue was released headlining the Boston bomber, Dzhokhar Tsarnaev. There are numerous reasons why the majority of Americans were enraged by the cover choice the Rolling Stone’s made, but I’m not one of them. To be in the entertainment industry and land the cover of the Rolling Stone magazine is an honor. “It goes without saying that if you are featured under those two journalistically iconic words, than you have made it” (International Business, Times. “Rolling Stone Cover Sparks.”). The band Dr. Hooks even wrote a song about wanting to be on the cover of the Rolling Stone; “But the thrill we’ve never known, is the thrill that’ll getcha when you get your picture, on the cover of the Rollin’ Stone” (Silverstein). However,......

Artical Review Cold Rolling

...Cold Rolling Jeffry S. Asher DT1410 Unit 4 Assignment 2 ITT Technical Institute January 18, 2016 Cold rolling is a metal forming process in which the shape and the structure of steel are altered through drawing, extruding, hammering, pressing, rolling, spinning, and stretching at temperatures below the steel's recrystallization point, usually room temperature. These processes result in changes to the metal's composition which permanently increases its hardness and tensile strength, and improve the surface finish, but decrease ductility and impact resistance. After hot rolling, many steel products undergo a further processing in the cold state. This stage of processing may not necessarily alter the shape of the steel, but it does reduce its thickness and significantly improve its performance characteristics. Hot rolled coil is commonly known as cold rolled, also known as cold reduced. The Influence and Legacy of the Rolling Stones and the Beatles

...The Influence and Legacy Of The Rolling Stones And The Beatles By: Greg Johnston The history of rock and roll music has had many influential and popular bands. Back in the early days when rock and roll music was searching for an identity, along came two unique bands that would change the face of rock and roll music. The Rolling Stones and The Beatles had a uniqueness that was not found in other bands at the time, by fusing blues and rock music into a new sound. With their contrasting style of music and each band having a huge following, they changed the landscape of the music industry forever. And that started the debate of which one was a better band, but this is not a debate on which band was better, but a discussion on their influence, similarities and their differences. The Rolling Stones when they first started, in an effort to set them apart they were marketed as a wilder and crazier band, with a raunchy and rebellious appearance. Compared to The Beatles and their boy next door image. The Rolling Stones influenced music by covering obscure blues songs and by acting as a bridge connecting the pop youth of the day with blues music developing a different style of rhythm and blues music. The Beatles had such an impact on popular music that they set a new standard, and gave a new popularity to rock and roll music while also giving a new sound to the music industry. Both of these iconic rock and roll bands originated in England in the 1960’s. First came......

Cig Rolling

...Lights, make and produce our own pack of very similar cigarettes? Herein lies the solution; roll your own cigarettes. Most people shy away from such an idea claiming that they would never know where to start, or have no idea where they would buy the equipment, but on contrary the first steps to this new lifestyle are very easy, and the tools needed are readily available. The benefits of rolling your own cigarettes are numerous. First off, its inexpensive. GS Hammack, a man who writes for a website called AssociatedContact.com, said that “smokers that are looking for an immediate saving will find that they can reduce the price of a pack of cigarettes from around $4.50 (in the Dallas Texas area) down to around $1.25, or maybe even a little less”. Another benefit is that, believe it or not, rolled cigarettes are more healthy for you than a regular pack of cigarettes. The bags that the tobacco come in are additive-free, which means that the rat poison and lip stick that you always hear about on bad cigarette commercials will not be included in your purchase. For any avid cigarette smoker, “rolling your own” is the way to go. There are three main things that are needed before we begin. They are the tobacco, the papers to roll the tobacco in, and of course, a lighter. So let us start with the first item on our list, the tobacco. Buying a large bag of tobacco will cost you around $20-$30 which may seem expensive at first, but in the long run you will find that you save tons of......
