... 2. In reviewing several similar court cases, I find that one particularly emulates similar circumstances to what we have seen here. It is a case of Mitsubishi Motors and EEOC which was filed in 1998. In this case the women were treated in much the same manner as outlined above. Mitsubishi ended up having to pay $34 million to the female employees. 3. Although Teddy’s has grounds for challenging the fact that Pollard did not formally file a complaint, we are liable for several other issues as stated above. This case could be challenged and possibly go our way, but with a great deal of time and money involved. I don’t see value in this. Our efforts and money should be directed at preventing this from happening again. 4. In light of the turnout of the Mitsubishi case, it would be my recommendation that we settle this case as soon as possible. We would not admit any form of guilt, but would offer a settlement for dismissal of the case. Awarding’s for this type of case range from $250,000.00 to $2,000,000.00 so I would recommend that we offer the $250,000.00 to settle out of court. I would not recommend prolonging this settlement for any longer than necessary. 5. Our next move is preventing this occurrence from happening again. I would suggest that we review our sexual harassment policy in detail, modify and/or update it, and develop a plan for a new roll out that would include implementation, training managers and subordinates, identifying...

...Regulation: As the proposed rule updates the provisions of existing regulation, changes are as follows: 1. 45 CFR part 1206, which deals with project suspension and termination, is moved to 45 CFR part 2556, subpart B with most substantive provisions remaining unchanged. Under the proposed rule the provisions for suspension remain unchanged, except that the provisions for summary suspension are eliminated and the provisions for suspension on notice are retained. This has the effect of giving notice to sponsors for all suspensions. Under the proposed rule the provisions for termination remain unchanged, except that a second CNCS review has been eliminated. Experience has shown that a lengthy termination review process is not beneficial to VISTAs at the project in question, unduly consumes the sponsor's staff time and other resources, creates uncertainty for project beneficiaries, and exhausts VISTA resources that could be put to use for the benefit of project beneficiaries. 2. 45 CFR part 1210, which deals chiefly with early termination of a VISTA, is moved to 45 CFR part 2556, subpart E and changed to improve the cost-effectiveness of the provisions and increase efficiency of VISTA program functions. The new provisions for early termination remain substantively the same in many respects. However, the early termination for cause process is modified. While the process retains more than sufficient due process in the form of written notification and appeals at two......

...authority discriminates in the terms and conditions of subordinates’ employment, his actions necessarily draw upon his superior position over the people who report to him, or those under them, whereas an employee generally cannot check a supervisor’s abusive conduct the same way that she might deal with abuse from a co-worker. When a fellow employee harasses, the victim can walk away or tell the offender where to go, but it may be difficult to offer such responses to a supervisor, whose “power to supervise–[which may be] to hire and fire, and to set work schedules and pay rates–does not disappear . . . when he chooses to harass through insults and offensive gestures rather than directly with threats of firing or promises of promotion.” 4. I would first revise the sexual harassment policy that is signed by each employee by clearly stating the definition of sexual harassment, quid pro quo, and what a hostile work environment is in legal terminology along with the definition in lamest terms (this will help ensure that employees are fully capable of understanding the definition of each.) Secondly, so that employees in the future cannot claim “technical issues” as a reason to why they were unable to file a complaint with the human resources department I would suggest to provide more than one method for employees to file a complaint such as an anonymous hotline via phone, or a mail drop box on the facility that is periodically checked by the HR department. Lastly, I would......

A feasibility is conducted to identify the best system that meets the all the requirements. This includes an identification description, an evaluation of the proposed systems and selection of the best system for the job. The requirements of the system are specified with a set of constraints such as system objectives and the description of the out puts. It is then duty of the analyst to evaluate the feasibility of the proposed system to generate the above results. Three key factors are to be considered during the feasibility study. 1. OPERATION FEASIBILITY An estimate should be made to determine how much effort and care will go into the developing of the system including the training to be given to the user. Usually, people are reluctant to changes that come in their progression. The computer initialization will certainly affected the turn over, transfer and employee job status. Hence an additional effort is to be made to train and educate the users on the new way of the system. 2. TECHNICAL FEASIBILITY The main consideration is to be given to the study of available resources of the organization where the software is to be implemented. ...global economy cause largely by an avoidable housing crisis, financial regulations inevitably have an impact on us all. Decisions made by agencies such as the Department of Treasury, Federal Reserve, Bureau of Consumer Financial Protection, and the Federal Housing Finance Agency have the power to directly impact our daily lives much more than other agencies which is essentially the reason for my interest in such a regulation. Also, as a young American looking to own a home in the near future, this regulation has the ability to impact my ability to obtain financing. Beyond merely being a part of the American dream, home buying and the housing market is an essential part of every society’s economy. Describe the proposal/change. Nearly 4 decades after being established the Trust in Lending Act (TILA) also commonly referred to as regulation Z has undergone a number of amendments. The most current changes are to make the guidelines in which a consumer secures credit for the purchase of a home stricter. The change comes as a result of the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act which was signed into law on July 21, 2010. The act provides strict guidelines to creditors extending credit to consumers of high risk for the purpose of purchasing a home. Two essential changes provided state, prior to approval of such credit, the creditor must ensure that the consumer (1) obtains a written appraisal performed only by a certified or licensed appraiser (2) if the......
