Changing Our Lives

At this time in my life, after thinking long and hard about what I’m doing and where I’m heading, I came to the conclusion that going to college would be the best thing to do for myself and my future. I was living on a small island in Greece playing soccer for a professional team. I loved playing soccer because it was fun and it made me happy. While I was playing in a game I got seriously injured to my knee and needed surgery. After my knee surgery I wasn’t able to play the same way and after much thought I decided to stop playing soccer. A friend’s friend offered me a job as a waiter in one of the hotels on the island. I didn’t like working as a waiter and I didn’t see myself doing it for the rest of my life. My salary was not enough to live on, especially for what I had to go through with customers and other staff on a daily basis. Working as a waiter wasn’t for me. Living on a small island with tourism as the biggest source of income providing just a few months out of the year as a time where you can find employment was difficult. For the rest of the year, work was hard to find and so I spent the rest of the time on unemployment which was not enough for me to make a living. After realizing I was getting nowhere I wanted to be I decided to go to the United States of America and live with my family already living there. Once I came here, I decided to enroll in college in order to improve my life and to become a better person. This was one of my best decisions of my life because I believe I will have a better and more fulfilling life giving me many more opportunities leading to a better and happier future for myself.…...

Perdorimi i “if-else” te shkallezuar konkretizohet mjaft qarte me kete shembull: ... if ( piket >= 90) { nota = ‘A’; } else if ( piket >= 80) { nota = ‘B’; } else if ( piket >= 70) { nota = ‘C’; } else if ( piket >= 60) { nota = ‘D’; } else { nota = ‘F’; } System.out.println(“Nxenesi mori noten “ + nota); ... 7 CIKLET Pame se me ane te strukturave “if” dhe “if-else”, nje bashkesi veprimesh ekzekutohej te shumten nje here (pra 0 ose 1 here) ne varesi te nje ose disa kritereve. Ne Java ka tri lloje ciklesh while, for dhe dowhile. Cikli while. Eshte modeli me i thjeshte i nje cikli. Bashkesia e veprimeve qe ndodhen ne bllokun e ciklit, perseriten sa kohe qe kushti i ciklit eshte i vertete.

...activism is a ray of hope and now since the value system of administration is changing, Civil Servants activism may be given acceptance also. In fact, it saves a civil servant from being indifferent in the name of civil servant neutrality (because many a times C.S. Activism is seen as an action aimed as against particular political party/ideology. Mr. Chatterjee (1992) – Bihar Cadre IAS, called upon a press conference to expose corruption in administration, and then resigned. Civil Servant Activism, has no single meaning or context. Any ‘proactive’ step of a civil servant aimed at increasing the integrity and efficiency and the utility of the system/administration, can be termed as an act of Civil Services activism. Case Study – Armstrong Pame, (IAS) and SDM of Tamenglong District, Manipur Tamenglong is one of the remotest corners of India, but this young Naga IAS had gathered villagers as part of India’s most ambitious road project, that too beginning without any government funding. The opening of the 100 km long “people’s road in February 2013 earned him Sobriquet “The Miracle Man”. The road connects Tousem with the rest of Manipur, as also with Assam and Nagaland. People in this village had to walk on foot for 4 days to get 6 days of ration due to lack of motorable road. This 2009 batch IAS, asked State Government for funds but was turned down. So he collected his 5 month’s salary and one month’s salary of his brother and 3 month’s pension of his father. He went to......
