The Marketing Mix is composed of four different elements which are also known as the four P’s. The four P’s are very important to an organization, especially when it comes to marketing products. The four elements of the marketing mix are Product, Price, Place, and Promotion. These four elements are essential for an organization to be both effective and successful in marketing their products or services. The four P’s are used in order to help an organization develop their marketing strategy for their products, this is also used to help the organization determine the appropriate market, and targeted demographic areas for the product.
The first of the four elements found within the marketing mix is the product. The product is the most important element found within the marketing mix, because without a product or a service the organization would fail. When discussing the product an organizations marketing team works closely with all different areas within the organization in order to develop or enhance a product or service. The organization must first decide on a product, and how the product will be manufactured including how the production line will be assembled in order to achieve the final product. Understanding the product, and how the product works is also important when it comes to the marketing mix, because if the marketing team does not understand the product, then it cannot be successful when it comes to marketing the product and or implementing their marketing strategy for the product, a task that is an essential aspect of any organization. Knowing what the product is, is also important to an organization because this will allow the organization to research the product by looking to see if there are similar products offered by their competitors, the demographics for the product and how well a competitor has done with the sales of their product.

...* * * * * * * * * * * * * * Marketing Mix Paper MKT/421 August 1, 2011 Fritz Beiermeister * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * The Marketing Mix What is marketing? The meaning that many marketing managers gain knowledge of as they start out in the marketing profession is: Putting the right product in the right location (place), at the right price, at the right time. The success of an organization depends on the success of marketing. Accounting, Finance, operations, and other functions of business will not matter if there is not a demand for the organization’s product or service (Kotler, 2009). The term “marketing mix” was coined by Neil Borden back in 1953 during his American Marketing Association (AMA) presidential speech. The marketing mix include the controllable variables the company puts together to satisfy the target group (Perreault, 2009). The consumer is not a part of the marketing mix, but should be the target of any organization’s marketing campaign. In 1960, Jerome McCarthy introduced the notion of the 4Ps – Price, product, place, and promotion marketing mix [ (Marketing Mix 4P's and 5P's by Jerome McCarthy, 2010) ]. For several years these 4P’s have been in use as the chief basis on which a marketing plan is based. All of the four P’s are needed for a successful marketing mix and......

...Branding Plan MKT/421 Branding Plan The Elevator Pitch Hi my name is _________ with the many financial programs my organization offers, I help consumers like you with their needs when it comes to the purchase or lease of a new vehicle, ensuring it meets the budget and requirements of all involved. Perhaps you and I can get together to discuss who we can help in their quest in purchasing a new vehicle. According to Elevator Speeches (2008), an idea of a service, product, or project is overview with an elevator pitch and it name is derived from the quick ride of an elevator and should last 30 seconds or approximately 100 words. A pitch does not take place of a good business strategy, but if the pitcher can arouse the attention of the listener, he or she will most likely be given the opportunity to share his or her idea in-depth with the appropriate audience at a later time (Gatling, 2011). In the car selling industry there are many things to learn, seems simple but it actually takes planning, executing, and time management. Equally important, the four basic principles of marketing, product, pricing, placement, and promotion need to be exercised at all times during sales of a vehicle. For example, when customers come to the dealerships lot, he or she may or may not know the specifics of a certain vehicle; such as gas mileage, safety features, or even options. Moreover, he or she may not even know their wants or needs. At the same time, the salesman should......

... Personal Branding Brand Paper Edward Smith MKT/421 March 29, 15 Michael Medoro Personal Branding Plan Paper My career immediately after graduating High School in 2003 started with my enlistment into the United States Army. Unfortunately in 2010 I sustained combat related injuries that forced me into early retirement after 7 years of actively serving. Although I had other career interest after graduating High School, once I was retired out of the Army using the skills and training I gained while servings left very few windows open for me to further my career as an civilian because of my injuries and restrictions that were placed on me. However, I have continued to have an interest in law enforcement, technology, and fashion which has allowed me to still have interest in working for particular companies/agencies in each field. Companies I Would Like To Work For I grew up in a law enforcement family which sparked my interest of being a police officer one day, but I never wanted to settle with just being a basic officer, my interest was mainly towards joining the higher ranks of law enforcement like The US Marshals Services (USM). According to Jacobs (2014), “established in 1789 by George Washington, the US Marshals is the oldest law enforcement agency in the country”. (para. 1). ...Personal Branding Plan Jessica Cutcher MKT/421 November 30, 2015 Rebecca Robbins Introduction Getting oneself out on the market is the most important part of getting a new job. In order to do this, a person must market themselves. In order to properly market themselves, a potential candidate has to know the resources in which to present themselves as good employee material. It is always a good idea to have a plan in place of the places that employment is desired. Then research those companies and determine what the best way to present a resume is. It is always a good idea to research the companies to begin with in order to come to a good determination as to whether or not this company is one that is good to work for. There are four businesses that I researched and have submitted my resume and applications. I will discuss which companies I chose, why I chose them and the steps that I took in order to present myself to their HR Departments. I have been doing this for the past 3 years, so I have some good references and a little bit knowledge as to how some of these companies perform their hiring process. The first company that I researched and chose to apply with is Ford Motor Company. Ford Motor Company is an organization that I chose because the pay and benefits are great and if you can get through the probation period, it can be a very good job. I looked them up online and found that Ford Motor...

...Marketing class 421- UOP Week one- Discussion question number two- answered; hope this will help you guys while struggling with work and schooling DQ2: Assume you are the newly hired marketing manager of a company. As you spend time with other peer marketing managers, you realize that the company doesn’t place an emphasis on planning within the marketing organization. Why is planning important in marketing? What are the essential components of a marketing plan? How would you convince your supervisor that the marketing department should produce formal marketing plans? Answers to the question above: Planning is important part of the marketing strategy in most cases because when it comes to an organization that doesn’t see the value in such a program, it’s usually a one shot deal to prove its profitability or worth. The essential components of a marketing plan are as follows: strengthen the brand, measuring marketing effectiveness, drive new product development, gather customer insights, utilizing new marketing technology to target this new group of consumers One of the ways in which I would convince my supervisor that a marketing department should produce formal marketing plans is by showing them the various missed opportunities. After all, the whole point of a business is to build upon those opportunities and build greater customer equity. “Customer equity refers to the expected earnings from a firm’s current or prospective customers.” Conducting a S.W.O.T.......

...Running Head: IMPORTANCE OF MARKETING Importance of Marketing Jason McCleney 3/10/2012 ADA ACC. MKT/421 Stephen Fritzenkotter Definition of Marketing In a moral formal setup, business and non-business organizations are also involved in marketing. The products that are marketed can be goods or services. A place, an idea, an individual or even a cause, can be marketed. Many management thinkers consider marketing to be most critical function of a business. In a business organization, the marketing division generates the revenues essential for the survival and growth of the firm, the finance department manages these revenues and the department like R&D, production or manufacturing uses them to create products and services (Kotler, 2009). But the real challenge to the markets lies in generating those revenues profitably, by satisfying customers in a socially responsible manner (Kerin, 2009). In my point of view marketing is an activity of producing, promoting, and providing goods and services to customers and businesses. It is a process of creating and directing an organization to sell goods or services that people are willing to buy. Marketing builds and maintains a preference for a particular product and company within the target market. It involves acquisition of new customers and retention of existing customers. American Marketing Association was proposed definition of marketing in 1985, which is as follows: “Marketing is the process of......
