Apply the Learning Curve Theory

...development of any organization is hinged on components such as technology, structure, documents, procedures and human resources. Viable competitive advantage on any given organization is acquired through organizational learning processes. The processes of attending to clients and preparing orders in Mario¶s pizzeria may be evaluated under the learning curve theory. Mario has the task of improving the service to its clients by reducing the waiting time and queue length while maximizing the benefits of the operation. As a conventional individual, Mario wants to improve the operation while maintaining the business. In the food service industry, the crux of the business is portrayed by customer service, the waiters, the cooks and chefs, the kitchen workers, and the quality food itself. During the first phase of the process modification, only the arrangement of tables was changed, ending with 10 tables for four and 8 tables for two. This modification reduced the waiting time from 9 minutes to 5.87 minutes and the average queue length to 2.54. Profits increased and the loss of sales was reduced. The deployment of the workers was not too high, leaving space for attending more clients. Mario was pleased with this modification since no workers lost their jobs and experience was was further conserved inhouse. After the new arrangement of tables, the equipment and technology used during the attending of clients and preparation of food was evaluated. The manual ovens were eliminated......

...importance. My name is Gloria M Posada and I am sending this Email to talk about your corrupt manager Mario Rocha. I know you have received many a complaints (And if you haven't this email should explain why) about him but I would like to add my perspective and experiences with your manager. I have lived in your wonderful park since I was 10 years old, I am currently 21. It is my sadness to say that Mario Rocha has had an affair with my mother for seven years. Why am I sharing personal matters with you, you may ask? Well, it is because of that affair that I know all the corrupt things that Mario Rocha has done all of which include using the money you give him for park expenses (not personal expenses) for personal reasons. I have triple read the park regulations and have come to understand that that ALL tenants must obey the rules of the park as written. Is Mario Rocha not a tenant as well? and even if there was flexibility for him (since he is park manager) should he not enforce these rules upon everyone in the park? He doesn't. Mario Rocha also leaves the park for long periods of time and returns when ever he desires. No, I am not saying that he is a surf or nothing of the sort but he does need to inform you and have a substitute to enforce the rules. Mario Rocha is flexible to people in his circle ass well and I do not see this to be very fair. My mother and Mario Rocha have gone their separate ways and ever since he has been attacking my mother with rules......

Mario Testino's Twins

...Identical: Who’s Happy and Who Just Looks It? In the first photograph by Mario Testino there are two heavier set Latin twins standing in the middle of the picture with an arm wrapped around the other and biggest of smiles upon their faces. Both of the men are wearing shorts, one of the men has flip flops on and the other is barefoot. They appear to have just gotten out of the water somewhere by the way the sand is sticking to them. In the background there is a construction truck, which would make most observers think that they were in some sort of construction area. However no construction worker would be barefoot or in sandals in a work zone, considering that could be extremely hazardous. Although the men in the picture are twins and both have huge smiles upon their faces you can tell that each of them have very different personalities by the way their smiles differentiate. The twin on the right with a more open mouthed smile almost as if he’s shouting “Hey!” or something similar, and the other on the left with a more goofy smile, face constricted, almost like he’s laughing at his brother. In the second photograph there are two beautiful twin girls that look like models wearing almost identical outfits. One of the twins is wearing a dress that splits mid-thigh she also has her hair pulled back with a black fitted cap on top. The other twin is wearing a similar dress that cuts off mid-thigh with black loosely fitted pants underneath, she is not wearing a cap unlike her......

Mario Draghi Policy Paper

...The ECB’s monetary policy in the crisis * In 1763, Amsterdam was the centre of a deep financial crisis. Highly leveraged investors were faced with a situation of falling asset prices. The liquidity crisis became severe and Amsterdam bank houses went bankrupt. * Similarly liquidity was an issue in the modern day financial crisis. Money markets seized up and several market participants found themselves unable to roll-over funding positions. * Finally, at the beginning of 2010 the latest turn: several euro area countries’ debt and deficit levels were found to be unsustainable. * Differently from the crisis in 1763, the determined actions of central banks prevented deleveraging, fire sales and ultimately deflation. * The ECB, and indeed all major central banks, reduced its policy rates to unprecedented lows and implemented various measures to restore monetary policy transmission to support credit flows to the real economy. * Liquidity support gives banks unlimited access to central bank money at a fixed price against adequate collateral for banks to liquefy their assets at times of stress by expanding the set of eligible assets used as collateral. * Also extending the maturity of lending so that the longest maturity of our long-term refinancing operations (LTROs) has been raised from the standard 3 months before the crisis to 6 months after. * The Outright Monetary Transactions (OMTs), eliminate the pricing of un-warranted tail risks in the......

About ten years later, Rocha remains in prison and Latham is still his lawyer who is trying to gain evidence that it was not his client, but another prison-mate with the nickname the “Joker” who was the real murderer. From the beginning of Chapter 2, Graham wrote “I told the pasty lawyer something about my passion for the law, with all its intellectual challenges, mental stimulation and competition…Hearing myself speak I felt like an ass (p.11).” I thought this was funny yet I am sure a good amount of people can relate to this. Mario is given a crappy attorney and is taking the money his family is paying him to do his job but Ian Graham decides to take on the case and prove Mario is innocent. Ian had gone through several situations where he needed to pass on a note to Mario. Mario had almost been killed and did not want the “Joker” to be blamed for the murder because of how the joker is connected to people in the prison. With other several cases/litigations to handle, the secretaries always on Ian’s butt; he still had his eye on one thing: getting Mario out of prison and be......
