...government regulations, environmental issues, and technology advancements. Further examining the definition of tourism forces confusion of the accuracy of UNWTO’s explanation as technical definitions can be ambiguous. To define tourism generically will become inaccurate as the definition will not account for changes made to the industry over time as well as the different meanings and interpretations of tourism at all levels of the system as well as around the world. Industrial Revolution Report

...Report on Industrial Revolution 1. One of the most impactful inventions in the Industrial Revolution was the steam engine. This device invented by James Watt altered history because of it impact on transportation and factories. James Watt found that there was a way to produce steam from coal. Then he discovered that you could use that process to make engines and also use the steam to power numerous machines in factories. Because of his invention, automobiles were able to be created and the use of machinery was enhanced which was a key change in the industrial revolution. WIth cars introduced to the world, transportation took on a new dynamic along with trains and steam powered boats. The invention of mass production and factories was a key aspect to the industrial revolution also. Because an idea of mass production was invented, factories were established to enable mass production and this called for an increase in labor demands. Many workers were needed to fill positions in factories so a shift occurred in society. People moved towards the city because that’s where the jobs were and families were less connected because they no longer worked on farms together. Because machines and other agricultural inventions were made, more of the labor involved in processing food or crops was centered in factories and this was a huge change for people. It affected their lifestyles majorly and changed the structure of society in a way. 2. In the Industrial Revolution, the major......

Classical Mystery Tour Concert Report

...ROSSI N LEIVA 11/02/2014 MAGICAL MYSTERY TOUR Friday, October 3rd 2014 The Hilbert Circle Theater For years I thought that I was born in the wrong generation, maybe because The Beatles music helped me learn English or perhaps that I was pretending to be an eighteen-year-old in 1964 and breathlessly awaiting the arrival of The Beatles onto the stage like those thousands to teenagers watching The Ed Sullivan Show. My husband and I arrived somewhat early and as we were walking into this magnificent venue, I wasn’t really sure what to expect. I made up a very creative story to convince my husband to come along with me, so we were there inside The Hilbert Circle Theatre admiring its infrastructure and trying to figure out if we were the only ones wearing jeans and where our seats were. We grabbed one of the programs and began to read about The Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra, which quite honestly I have heard before but never even attempt to listen as we were getting ready to enjoy. As I read on page 51 of our class book “Music Listening Today” by Charles Hoffer, ‘the concertmaster is the last player to enter before the conductor,’… and he points to the various sections of the orchestra, as they play the long tone to tune their instruments to the standard pitch of A440. Well these random sounds were really loud, and somewhat confusing, who would’ve thought that they could play so beautifully. The concert began with a melodious 10 minute medley featuring wonderful......

Industrial Report of Ilet

...Chapter 1 | Introduction: Industrial training is a part of technical education. A short term industrial training at the course is really essential & very fruitful. One cans what he has learnt in the institute with what is being done in the factory during training. What are the similarity & dissimilarity between institutional & industrial working techniques & procedures in every unit operation of footwear manufacturing? In the institutional education, there are some rules & regulations & limitations too under those the teachers teaches the student & he\she may not provide a plenty of material & accessories to the students for practical purpose, e.g. leather is not usually supplied during the period of learning expect final practical examination & project work. But in the factory everything is being done with leather, to differentiate among different types & quality of leather. One can be up to date with a variety of accessories and other novelty material and can also create a chance to be a recruited in the factory. As our course B.sc in footwear engineering is a practical oriented course, industrial training is so much effective for our course. Leather products have both functional & decorative appeal. For the production of quality footwear, proper concentration, proper management system, proper quality control & accuracy is must needed in every department such as product development, cutting department, components department, sewing department & finally lasting & finish......

...A Tour to St.Dominic Church and Bataan Tourism “If you don’t know history, then you don’t know anything. You are a leaf that doesn’t know it is part of a tree.”- Michael Crichton. If history is unknown to us how would we appreciate the present times? Participating to tours that shows and imparts the history of something is a great opportunity to see and reflect why and what life has been today. Last September 23, 2015, Wednesday, together with my classmates we are blessed to witness historical places like the St. Dominic Parish Church and the Bataan Tourism Center which caters different historical events and contributions of our fellow Filipinos here at Bataan. First stop is the Saint Dominic Parish Church which is known as Abucay Church, located at Brgy. Laon, Abucay, Bataan. The church is founded by Dominican Missionary Friars and built to be dedicated to St. Dominic de Guzman. This church witnessed the massacre of hundreds of Filipinos and Spaniards by the Dutch invaders. The building is more than 400 years old and one of the oldest church in the Philippines. The making of St. Dominic Parish Church was headed by Father Geronimo de Belen in early 1600s. Saint Dominic Church once suffered by a horrible damage because of the earthquake but still survived. On the later years it was destroyed by fire but was revived and reconstructed under Father Jose Diego Pelaez. This only shows how much we value our church as much as we value our creator. Second stop is the Bataan......

The facility is about 50,000 square feet consisting of production, retail, event, and office space. They supply their beer to men and women of the legal drinking age in Alberta, British Columbia, and Ontario. Steam Whistle uses a hybrid manufacturing process, producing approximately 88,000 bottles per day. They are working at integrating many green initiatives such as using all natural ingredients, reusing bottles and elements from the packaging line, and reducing paper usage in the office. Steam Whistle specializes in the “art” of beer creation by utilizing an integrated facility of both human labour and machine processing. In various aspects of the brewing process Steam Whistle is evidently applying a large dependence on the human labour which may not always be profitable in the long run. As discussed throughout the course, human capital in operations is essential for running a business smoothly but under differentiated circumstances, human labour can be considered a liability for a business. Humans act and work independently from one another and each person has different......
