Running head: THE BENEFITS OF RECYCLING 1

The Benefits of Recycling

AIU Online

THE BENEFITS OF RECYCLING 2
Introduction
Is recycling beneficial? Yes. Here are some reasons why recycling is beneficial. Recycling is the process that takes used materials and turns them into new products. First of all, this process reduces the amount of waste in the landfills which helps the environment. This would help with using the land for other beneficial reasons and also reduce the pollution risks of our environment. There is already too much land that has been taken over by these landfills. Secondly, recycling also promotes environmental awareness. It’s important to be aware of what the waste is doing to our environment. We wouldn’t want our generations to live in an unhealthy environment. We need to show the future that reusing materials saves energy, provides resources and can also provide more job opportunities. Third of all, recycling will also help with the economical aspect by providing job opportunities, reducing the cost of waste disposal and also providing more land for other beneficial resources. This would be a great benefit for people who cannot find jobs. The environmental, political, and economical situations would all benefit from the recycling industry.

THE BENEFITS OF RECYCLING 3
Abstract
What would happen if we became over run by trash? We probably wouldn’t be living in a healthy environment then. Recycling promotes the reuse of recycled materials to make new products. Most products are made with recyclable materials like plastics, glass, paper,…...

...the exact same healthcare? Yes, I feel everyone should be entitled to a basic minimum of healthcare due to the fact that basic minimum healthcare is essential. If an individual doesn’t have basic minimum healthcare, that individual will suffer from afflictions, agony, and they lose their spunk. Healthcare guarantees that individuals are not suffering needlessly. This brings me back to the girl with the asthma problems. If the condition gets too bad, she could die, and her mother is very upset. The daughter is suffering, and it is not her fault. In a civilized society, it is unethical for any individual to go without basic healthcare (Healthcare Is a Human Right Campaign, 2012). 4. Do you think healthcare is a right? If so, is everyone forced to honor this right? In the United States, basic health care is a right. The government receives taxes from individuals and blows it on lots of things that are not as important as healthcare. If everybody is part of the wealthiest country in the world, deontological ethics states that it is everyone’s job to make sure that every individual has access to basic healthcare. Healthcare is not an amenity, it is not an indulgence; however, it is the biggest, basic necessity. It is ethical to make sure that every individual can get basic healthcare (Kelley, 2013). 5. Is this right relative or universal? This right is relative due to the fact that we are the wealthiest country and have a huge GDP; every American has a right to......

More CNS neurons are devoted to receiving fingertip sensations which results in the cortical area receiving input which is huge in comparison to the human back that receives input. (Murray, M., Ph.D.,2009) 2. Experiment 2 Using Sugar and Fresh Water- Taste cells are epithelial cells that function as sensory receptors. There are approximately 50-60 cells that are located in taste buds that are pear shaped. Taste cells are located through microvilli project into a taste pore. When saliva is transporting the dissolved polar molecules that are sweet or bitter such as sugar or caffeine to the taste pore there is transduction of chemical stimuli into nerve impulses. Polar molecules bind to receptors on the microvilli within the taste pore which are coupled to a G-protein called gustaducin which is followed by the activation of a second messenger. It will be my first party and I want it to be spectacular. So I need to make a list of things to do. Before I know it March 28th will be here and I will have a houseful of supporters. So first things first, I sat down and immediately got to work on the guest list. Before I knew it I had 64 guests within a short time. As I was filling out the invitations I had realized that I didn’t have addresses for some. So I proceeded to go on the internet to my facebook account. I sent out invites to the few people that I didn’t have addresses for. Then all of a sudden I had remembered that I could post an event. So I did. As soon as I had it posted, guests were already accepting the invites. I felt amazing but very nervous at the same time. As I was putting the invitations in the mail, I was praying that I would have a great number of acceptances. I wanted to be able to show off my business at the party. So I started printing some material off of my website. I also had a video on how the products were made and designed. I was so proud of my creativeness. I had even taken an old bookcase that I had and painted it light grey. Being that Easter was around the corner, I decided to go with an Easter theme. I went to the Dollar Tree in town. I picked up the cutest Easter baskets. Then I thought that I could get some of the......

Unit 5 Individual Project

...Tibbetts 6/15/16 Unit 5 – Individual Project The Department of Homeland Security is one of the most important departments in our federal government. It is largely responsible for ensuring that the United States as a country is kept safe from harm, whether through natural or terrorist events. However, even a department as large as the DHS is unable to fully protect the homeland from every threat possible. There is no way to always cover every avenue for potential threat to the U.S. To combat this unfortunate reality, the DHS relies on help from private enterprise. The DHS includes an office, known as the Office of Policy, which includes the Private Sector Office as one of its sub-departments. The Private Sector Office provides the Secretary and Department leaders with advice on issues relevant to the private sector, including academia, non-profits, NGOs, and businesses (dhs.gov). In addition, the PSO helps create and foster strategic communications with the private sector to enhance the primary mission of the Department to protect the American homeland (dhs.gov). This paper will explain the involvement of the Department of Homeland Security with private enterprise via the PSO, explain why this involvement is crucial to the mission, and explain how the DHS uses private enterprise in the protection of critical infrastructure and key resources. This paper will also give examples of programs that address governments on all levels, private enterprises, or individuals in the......

When an employer contacts you for an interview, they are indicating that they are interested in bringing you on board. Employers hire by personality, confidence, enthusiasm, positive outlook on things, and whether or not someone has good interpersonal and communication skills. After each question prepare a “response” for each question addressing how you personally would address each question (be detailed and thorough in your replies): • Question #1 – What do you expect to be doing in 5 years time? o My personal response to that question: 5 years from now, I would like to see myself in an executive position at Allina Hospital. There I will have the opportunity to train other employees and have more responsibilities. ...The contribution margin per haircut is $2.50. Subtract the variable cost, which is the hourly rate for each worker from the unit price of a haircut. $12-$9.90=$2.50. The breakeven point by definition is the sales level at which a company neither earns a profit nor incurs a loss. To find the brat even point all a business manager needs to do is divide the contribution margin per unit into fived costs. You must find the fixed cost first. To find the fixed cost you subtract the total variable cost per unit from the sales price per unit. The break even formula for this one is $1,750/$2.50=$700. 20,000 units times $12 per unit equals $24,000. To find the operating cost for 20000 haircuts all you would have to do is multiply by the price per unit. With the company only performing haircuts the unit price is still $12. If Andre revises the compensation method and gives $6 for each haircut and $4 per hour the new contribution margin per haircut would be $2.00. The breakeven point for the new revised compensation would be $870. For the contribution you would do $12-$10=$2. For the breakeven point you would do $1,750/$2=$875. If all the stylist where to perform 20000 haircuts in a year a long side their hourly rate per year the total expense for all five stylist Andre would have to pay is $120,000. The total for the hourly rate plus the compensation a year is $40,000+$120,000=$160,000. The best method for Andre to apply for his business is to use the flat hourly rate of $9.90....
