THE BENEFITS OF RECYCLING 3

Abstract What would happen if we became over run by trash? We probably wouldn’t be living in a healthy environment then. Recycling promotes the reuse of recycled materials to make new products. Most products are made with recyclable materials like plastics, glass, paper, metals, and even rubber can be recycled. All these materials can prevent the landfills from filling up and will also prevent the usage of land. Not everyone stops to think about what happens to the land when garbage is buried in it. Garbage is pollution and when it’s buried in the ground it causes the soil to be contaminated. It pollutes our beautiful natural water resources too. ...that the employer doctors have to give the employee doctors that leave the data needed to contact the consumers that this doctor has treated over the last two years. In a scenario where there is a partnership, the law usually states that any property that was obtained in a partnership is the property of all the partners. When a doctor’s partnership dissolves and there was no prior agreement made, ownership of the chart might rely on the circumstances regarding the dissolution. For instance, one partner might keep exhausting the partnership’s assets if he/she was not the cause of the dissolution and pays the doctor that is leaving the value of his/her share, and this includes the medical records. When doctors, each in their own individual practice, share offices, there isn’t any legal combination that actually happens. The doctors actually have ownership of their own records separately. In my opinion, it is better to agree on which doctor owns the charts prior to having a disagreement. When just beginning a partnership, each doctor is very happy to be starting a new enterprise, and is usually more willing to agree on issues like this. This is the best time to reach an agreement. When a practice is dissolving, it is a lot harder to reach an agreement. References Who Owns the Medical Record. (2013). Unit 3 Individual Project Fina310

...Unit 3 Individual Project Risk and Capital Yvonnia Carter American Intercontinental University August 10, 2013 Introduction This is to introduce how theoretical stock prices are calculated and how these prices react to market forces such as risk and interest rates (AIU, 2013). The first thing to do is find an estimate of the risk-free rate of interest (krf) and the value for the market risk premium. In this case, the (krf) is 2.58 and the market risk premium is 9.00%. Using the information from the XYZ Stock Information, these are the current values: ● XYZ’s Beta (B) is 1.64 ● XYZ’s current annual dividend is $0.80 ● XYZ’s 3-year dividend growth rate (g) is 8.2% ● Industry P/E is 23.2 ● XYZ’s EPS is $4.87 To get the required rate of return you use the following CAPM formula: Beta stock times (market risk premium minus risk free rate of interest) plus risk free rate of interest equals the required rate of return, so therefore (B)1.64* ((KM) 9.00% - (KRF) 2.58) +(KRF) 2.58=13.1088% 0r $13.11 (Ultimatecalculators.com, 2013). To find the current stock price for XYZ, use the following Constant Growth Model (CGM) formula: Current annual dividend times (1 plus growth rate) divided by required return rate minus growth rate, so therefore (D) $0.80 * (1 + (G) 8.2%) / (KS) 13.1088% - (G) 8.2% = (PO) $17.63 (Ultimatecalculators.com, 2013). Are there any differences? Yes, there are some differences. As you can see from the stock information sheet,...

Individual Project

...The Healthcare Organization Colorado Technical University HCM367-1304A-01 Phase 3 - Individual Project Lately, there has been an increase in patients being diagnosed with chronic debilitating diseases here at the healthcare facility, and I believe that Senior Management, Departments Heads, Supervisors, and Stakeholders should come together and discuss a few topics concerning chronic diseases and the aging population. The crisis is clear. Chronic diseases are having a major impact on healthcare. Chronic conditions, unlike acute diseases, cannot be cured and can last for years, limit activitis, and require continuing medical attention. In the United States, chronic illnesses impact millions of people and are the leading cause of sickness, disability, and death. As more and more people age and develop chronic illnesses the number of doctors and nurses needed will go up. Therefore, the availability of well-trained doctors and nurses is imperative in order to provide the best possible care. By communicating and collaborating with doctors, nurses, and the community to treat patients and their illnesses we can possibly cut costs, make programs for patients more readily available, and help the patient improve their overall health. In preparation for this meeting I researched Alzheimer’s disease which is a major issue affecting the aging population. Alzheimer's disease, first described by the German neurologist Alois Alzheimer, is a physical......

Individual Wellness Project

...Individual Wellness Change Project The client I selected for this project is a 70 year old female. This client resides in a household with her husband, and adult son. Retirement has not equated with rest and relaxation for my client as she also takes care of two of her adult brothers in poor health. Three granddaughters have been the source of joy for her as they’ve grown from precious infants to teenagers. My client also assumes the role of family matriarch for her other nine siblings. With many demands for time and attention, I predicted the needs assessments to direct us towards stress management. The results we received sent out project in another direction. With my initial prediction of the focus needed being on stress management, I had my client complete the Holmes and Rahe Stress Scale (Holmes and Rahe, n.d.) first. In spite of numerous responsibilities and various family members always seeking advice, her score was only a 16. Scores below 150 represent only a slight risk of illness due to stress. The one area where stress does affect my client is in her sleeping habits. Many nights she experiences insomnia while contemplating current family situations, and consequentially suffers from fatigue. My client’s concern over taking care of everyone else leaves little time for her to focus on herself. The remainder of our assessments helped to point out what she already knew about her nutrition and physical activity levels. The results of the LiveWell......

Mix Market- Unit 3 Individual Project

...There are three pricing general pricing strategies available for companies to follow (Fulton et al, 2006). The strategies are cost plus pricing, value based pricing, and competition based pricing. Cost plus pricing involves adding a margin to the price of the product. Value based pricing is based upon a customers perceived value of the good or service and competition based pricing involves price based upon competitive activity. Once again here is where I will be keeping it simple again, simple menu, at very affordable prices. Place The third element in the marketing mix is the place. The place is the method that gets the product to the market (Perreault and McCarty, 2005). The distribution method may involve many individuals or firms to help participate with getting my coffee’s to the point of sale. Not having enough coffee to meet the demand is something I will look forward to, and is also part of the market mix plan. I want my customers to benefit from the convince of the location I have selected to open my Coffee House. (Kotler and Keller, 2006). ...Individual Project Since childhood I have been fond of scents. Perfumes fascinate me, how one scent sets a personality and gives each person their own distinct smell. I truly wish to be a perfumist one day. The career I believe I will most likely have in the forthcoming future will be the owner of a small perfume and cosmetics business. The idea of the business is to let the customers pick their own scents and mix and match with other preferable aromas, therefore creating unique perfumes for themselves. Section 1: The leadership requirements for a business owner would be being able to balance micro and macro management. The skills that are required are sales experience and customer service. In order to please the customer one has to have sufficient knowledge in engaging with customers. Once you are able to engage enough with your customers you can build trust and after you have built trust, your sales will reach heights. Section 2: Strengths that my leadership would have, would be the balance between micro and macro management. Such as time, inventory and schedule. The weakness would be the atmosphere, how the upper management controls the staff. Sales quota not being reached is also a weakness. To over come the weakness, many different methods would be used such as incentives that would come out from the profit of the inventory sold.
