An Account of Uk Unemployment over the Past 5 Years

...An account of UK unemployment over the past 5 years Unemployment is a widely discussed problem, especially in recent years when the rate of unemployment has grown rapidly, mainly because of the global financial crisis of 2007-2009. The loss of a job is probably one of the most distressing events that could occur in the overall economy and in a person's life. This is a change not only in an economic sense, but in a psychological too. People inevitably depend on their earnings and a job loss in many cases means that they will not be able to maintain the same standard of living as before. Furthermore, the notion of future hardships has a great impact on the personality, as his or her common habits so far have to be somehow modified to suit the new lifestyle, based on the new income. This often leads to a psychological instability, triggered by a lowered self-esteem, and moreover, a decrease in morality levels which is the main reason why crime rates among young people are higher in the past five years. Apart from the impact on a personal level, there are some inevitable issues from an economic point of view, which derive from high unemployment and which inevitably affect the national economy. As we all know, the economic conditions of the country are absolutely vital to the ratio of unemployment. Every single event that has had an impact on the overall economy has affected the employment rates, whether positively or negatively orientated. It is of great......

Cause and Effect Advertising for Past 30 Years for Blood Donation

...Dominique L. Larry English 115 Prof. Weir Causes and Effects The advertising for blood donations in the past 30 years has been very effective to the outcome of the drives. Advertising is a good thing because it lets the public know when, where, and why a blood drive is being held. Advertisements are done so they can entice people to voluntarily donate blood. The blood is used in millions of cases in which a person may need a blood transfusion for many different reasons. Mostly, advertisement is used to target a certain group or demographic who are potential donors. To have regular donors and a plentiful supply of blood is the major cause of advertisement. There are natural disasters such as hurricane Katrina and super storm Sandy that came through and destroyed cities and town. Thousands of people were hurt in both that lost blood and needed a transfusion. As I found stated on www.gobag.com “Keeping an adequate supply of blood on hand is a challenge on a daily basis. There are daily occurrences that constantly draw on supplies daily such as premature births, illness, traumatic accidents and research - just to name a few. Having an adequate supply of blood immediately after a major disaster is not likely. Many people will come together AFTER a disaster to donate. It takes days to process blood before it can be used, many victims of disaster often don’t have days to wait and their lives can be lost.” (www.gobag.com, 2013). This is where good advertisement......

Advertising for Blood Donations in the Past 30 Years

...Advertising for Blood Donations in the past 30 years Over the last 30 years, there have been many movements in order to promote blood donations. Donations have always been a charitable procedure. In the past, competitions, giveaways, oppositions and other plans were used by blood banks in order to increase donations. Many donors contribute to charity, but some were paid with incentives. The major purpose of advertising for blood donations is to obtain donors who can donate blood and blood products to be stored in blood banks. The Red Cross reports that the supply is accessible thru hospitals and blood is needed every two seconds, and more than 80,000 sickle-cell patients require blood transfusions ("Donating blood," 2013). Millions of people that detect certain ailments need blood during treatments. The media is a good outlet to make legislatures understand the distinctive role in making blood donation eye-catching. Our government obligation is to provide the necessary funds for donor staffing. The second cause of advertising for blood donations give people a reason to help others. Donating blood help save millions of lives. The advancement in surgeries and cancer treatment has narrowed the blood donation standards. Periodic shortages and ancient blood donor residents have played a significant role in increasing blood demands. The latest survey recorded in the United States shows that 1.1 million blood transfusions increased in 1997 to 2.7 in 2007 ("Blood......

For years, consumers have pride themselves on wearing the best brand of diamonds ever to exist which is carried by the renowned Tiffany jewelry company. Tiffany & Co has jewelry retail stores and boutiques located all over the Americas as well as Asia-Pacific, Japan, Europe and the United Arab Emirates. They invaded Moscow approximately 10 months ago and purchased a 4,500 square-foot store. In their quest to do busy with Moscow, they made promises to millions of potential customers to deliver the best of the diamond world. Now because of the many issues with U.S. sanctions, Tiffany & Co is caught up in an economic war zone as sanctions continue to put financial pressure on Russian pipelines. "It’s just a really, really big country, and because of that it’s been pretty underserved," says Charles Whiteman, senior vice president of client services of Motion Point. This is how several major corporations like Apple, Nike and Mattel feel about conducting business in Russia. Many of Standard & Poor’s top stock businesses have talked about the enormous nation and the financial implications of doing commerce there. Changes in Nursing over the Past 10 Years

...Changes in Nursing Since 2001 Christina M. Jensen, RN Over the past 9 years since I was a practicing nurse, many aspects of nursing has changed. Obviously technology has played a major role in the ever-changing field of nursing. With the advances in technology comes a whole new skill set for the practicing nurse. New equipment requires continued education and training for the nurse to stay in the forefront of patient care. Increased demands on the nurse to do more than just bedside care have led to a variety of changes in the scope of practice. Nurses are doing more and going places that have in the past been outside their scope. Medication delivery, prescriptive authorities, nursing orders all advancing over these past 9 years. LPNs and RNs alike are now working outside the original scope of practice changing the dynamic of total patient care from a “I’ll get your nurse” or “I’ll get the Doctor” mentality to a let’s get this taken care of now!, confidence. This continuity of care aids in better patient communication and streamlines the care given. The advancements in technologies, changes in scope of practice and the new educational avenues have lent themselves to opening up a multitude of new career paths for nurses as well. Nurses aren't just in the hospital and nursing homes but have expanded out into the community as home health nurses, community educators, legal nurse consultants as well as specialties such as nurse anesthetist and increased trauma......

Crime over the Past 20 Years

...categories in ten States of America: violent, property, murder, aggravated assault, forcible rape, theft of vehicles, Burglary and Larceny-theft. The mostly committed crime per 1000 people from the year 1960 has been property related crimes while murder and rape crimes were the least committed crime. Murder crimes recorded in 1960 were 12.4 while, in the year 2013, 7.2 cases were recorded, and this shows there has been a decrease over time in murder crimes. Arkansas In a similar manner Alabama, the property related crimes are the highest while murder crimes are the least.
