...to do is expand their ideas by introducing new ways to utilize their cocoa product. Times are changing for the food industry. Many people are becoming more aware of what they are putting into their bodies. With chocolate having a reputation of being unhealthy, they need to use their product to introduce a new healthy product. They have already tried the dark chocolate idea which was not taken well, but if it was advertised correctly then they could potentially have a better product for their companies they are working with. Chocoberry should market chocolate products with basic health claims for the United States’ retail consumer market. They already make the base and distribute it so it is a great idea to get into that market. Who might be selected to perform the ideation, and why? Why might you not select certain groups to perform the ideation? To perform the ideation all group should be together to brainstorm and concept screening. In the Chocoberry Company, the new product development team and the manufacturing team must be together. They can brainstorm and get a concept, then present the ideas to the CEO. In this case, both teams know that the target group is adults who wish to indulge in chocolate...

...The product development team at Chocoberry has the responsibility of drafting a business plan for the option of marketing chocolate products with basic health claims for the United States' retail consumer market. These products are being developed by the technical departments as bar goods, such as one ounce or larger molded slabs of chocolate in dark, milk, inclusion-containing (nuts, fruit, etc.) products  You are a consultant who has been engaged by CB to create and evaluate their alternatives and provide a report. The following are some areas your report should address:  You should detail at least three possible distribution options for Chocoberry's new venture. Describe and provide flow diagrams for the alternative patterns. This includes the advantages and disadvantages for Chocoberry for the first year of the new chocolate product mix to reach the target markets identified to date. Select and justify the best for Chocoberry at this time using known data. Some thoughts about distributing via the Internet: - chocolate melts in warm weather; many chocolate companies will not ship product during warm weather or will not guarantee the quality of the shipped product unless dry ice is used (which drives up the shipping cost). - and, who is going to buy chocolate on the internet without having tasted it first? Most chocolate companies build a demand for the taste of their product before they build an ecommerce site. - Finally, this case is about identifying your......

...without feeling too much guilt. Too much chocolate can lead to dental problems like cavities. Another concern of eating large amounts of sugar each day is the increased risk for diabetics. Eat only 3-4 small pieces of the chocolate bar is better than the entire thing, customer would be able to control their weight while fulfilling their chocolate craving. Another quality about CB Chocolate bars is the fact that the bars are divided into twelve small rectangular pieces. This design doesn’t affect the taste in any way. But it was a smart idea on the part of CB to manufacturer the CB Dark Chocolate Bar in this fashion because the small shapes make it easy to break the bar into smaller pieces, for sharing baking and eating. Due to, chocoberry do not have the skills to promote and sell their new product. For them, the use of food distributors or brokers is the only way to obtain distribution. Many company go through a distribution channel to reach the end consumer, whether that consumer is a shopper in a retail grocery store or a supermarket. The advantage of using a distributor is distributors enable company to access markets while avoiding logistics issues and many trade-related risks. Distributor usually respond for the shipment of goods, inventory, transport, paperwork, and sell products to retail accounts. Moreover, many distributors carry a stock of the products they sell - so they buy in bulk, and take care of warehousing and inventory control in market. Most......

...You Decide Chocoberry Case Study Idea Generation 1. What techniques will you propose to CB to generate ideas that can be developed into viable concepts? There are three types of idea generation that could help into developing a viable concept: * The evolutionary idea derives from somewhere else, taking something that already exists and improves on it. (1) * Symbiotic: method of idea creation when multiple ideas are combined, using different elements of each to make a whole. (1) * Computer-assisted discovery: uses a computer in order to widen possibilities of research and numeric possibilities. (1) 2. Of the many methods for ideation offered in contemporary literature, which represents the best for CB in this situation, and why? The first and most important will be the evolutionary idea because Chocoberry should market chocolate products with basic health claims for the United States’ retail consumer market. They already make the base and distribute it so it is a great idea to get into that market. After using the evolutionary method I would recommend using the computer-assisted discovery as a method of crowdsourcing that can give ideas that the customer need/wants. Chocoberry Case Study

...Chocoberry Case Study Idea Generation The techniques that I would propose for CB would be Matrix Analysis (Creative Advantage, 2000), brainstorming (EinsteinDiva, 2010) and whiteboarding (Matimore, 2011). It is important to note that matrix analysis analyzes the situation based on a number of criteria that are then cross evaluated through the matrix, which is basically like a table that it used to represent a set of variables for the top row and another set of variables for the leftmost column. Through the use of the matrix analysis technique, CB could develop new ideas based on the possible combination of variables that are identifiable in the situation of CB. On the other hand, the brainstorming technique involves an in-depth discussion of ideas in a close group, such as the leaders in the case of CB. This discussion would be used to ensure that the different ideas of these leaders would be considered for the decision that would be made in order to make the changes that are needed in the organization so that the company could take advantage of the changes in the market. In contrast, the whiteboarding technique involves the use of a board or a whiteboard. In this technique, the whiteboard would be used to write or paste certain ideas onto the board for a given period of time. These ideas would then later be analyzed in terms of their connections to each other. It is arguable that whiteboarding is considered as the most appropriate for the case of CB, because the company......

Chocoberry Analysis

...There are many different ways to generate ideas. You can use the problem-based concept generation. Using this format, the idea is generated because a problem exits. Using internal company records, input from technical and marketing teams, and most importantly, customer feedback, the problem is identified, and ideas are generated that may be a solution to the specific problem. Although this is a great way to generate ideas, it is not the ideal format for Chocoberry. Chocoberry’s ‘problem’ is an internal one. They want to expand their market and reach customers, as opposed to dealing with just businesses. For this reason, there is no problem they are trying to fix. They are simply trying to come up with a new idea, so problem-based concept generation is not ideal in this situation. One of the most popular methods for idea generation is brainstorming. There are several different options when brainstorming, which eventually lead to the same end result- a concept for a product. Some of the methods of brainstorming include the traditional brainstorming circle, brainsketching, speedstorming, electronic brainstorming, Phillips 66 groups, and the Delphi method of brainstorming. All methods have pros and cons associated with each. One of the most relevant cons associated with brainstorming is the bazooka effect. The bazooka effect occurs when an idea is presented during brainstorming, and someone else shoots it down without even considering it (142). This can cause the......

Chocoberry Marketing

...With decades of experience within its company’s walls, Chocoberry looks to move in on a new trend within the market. Research on the forever fan favorite chocolate, has stirred up some significant findings in the evolving health craze ripping through the United States. This major importer of the one of the world’s favorite foods looks to capitalize on a consumer market begging to simply be told, “It is ok for them to eat chocolate…” Thomas Jefferson once said, “The superiority of chocolate, both for health and nourishment, will soon give it the same preference over tea and coffee in America which it has in Spain." Apparently President Jefferson was correct. According to Dirk Taubert from the University Hospital of Cologne, “Eating 1 oz. of dark chocolate daily may decrease your blood pressure, according to a 2007 study published in the "Journal of the American Medical Association.” These finding revealed that roughly 20 percent of the study’s participants who had high blood pressure coming in, left the study with readings in the normal area. (Carson, 2011) Chocoberry looks for answers on how to drive right into this market and using by using these methods, they can reap the benefits on their long success within the industry. Within their research and development department, they must first figure out what is working currently. By doing research on their competition, they can see what products have been able to survive and have success and also see which products......
