Chicago vs Cincinnati

...Rafael Asmar Which city is better? 5 months ago, I was in my country and my parents told me that I had to make a big decision, they told me that if I wanted to be a pilot, I had to know English, I thought that it was so real. My parents suggested me to go to Cincinnati because it is a good city to learn English, but really I wanted Chicago because it is bigger and I have more things to do. Superficially, there are some similarities between Chicago and Cincinnati, but really there are a lot of differences. There are a few similar characteristics between Chicago and Cincinnati. Both Chicago and Cincinnati are located in The United States of America; Chicago is the principal city in Illinois and Cincinnati is one of the principal cities in Ohio. Chicago has a good education, and Cincinnati too. The people in Chicago are polite and kind, because they always try to help the other people similar to the people in Cincinnati. There are some differences between Chicago and Cincinnati. Chicago has cold and windy weather. However, Cincinnati has cold weather, but its not colder and windy as Chicago. But both cities have four seasons per year. Chicago has a big and beautiful downtown because there are many things to do, such as: eat in elegant restaurants, nightclubs, cinemas and many things that you could enjoy. In contrast, Cincinnati has a small and horrible downtown because we don't have anything to do there, because there are a lot of buildings and office.......

Mesopotamia

...described where the future husband poured perfume on the head of the bride. He also gave her family money and other presents. Once a woman was engaged, she was considered part of her fiancé's family. If her husband-to-be died before the wedding, she was then married to one of his brothers or another male relative. The Invention of Writing Writing emerged in many different cultures and in numerous locations throughout the ancient world. It was not the creation of any one people. However, the Sumerians of ancient Mesopotamia are credited with inventing the earliest form of writing, which appeared ca. 3500 BC. The clay tablets shown here date from around 3200 BC. They were unearthed by Oriental Institute archaeologists at the site of Tell Asmar in Iraq. The writings on these tablets are simple pictures, or pictograms, which represent an object or an idea. Because clay is a difficult material on which to draw lines and curves, the Mesopotamians eventually reduced pictograms into a series of wedge-shaped signs that they pressed into clay with a reed stylus. This wedge-shaped writing is called cuneiform. The invention of writing was the dawn of the information revolution. This great technological advance allowed news and ideas to be carried to distant places without having to rely on a messenger's memory. Like all inventions, writing emerged because there was a need for it. In Mesopotamia, it was developed as a record-keeping vehicle for commercial transactions or......

Hasbro Interactive Case Study

...Individual Assignment (#2) “Hasbro Interactive, Case Study” Strategic Marketing Management (MKT 600) Done By: Dima El Jalbout ID#: 23406 Submitted to: Dr. Elie Asmar Academic Year: Spring 2015-2016 Date: Monday, March 14, 2016 Long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away families had a game night—once a week they'd pull out a stack of boxes from a closet and everyone would flex their knowledge of trivia (Trivial Pursuit), vocabulary (Scrabble), or even their real-estate management skills (Monopoly). All these childhood memories, the related games and much more were created by “Hasbro, Inc”. Unfortunately the company end up being sold to another French company due to many failures discussed below. After Hasbro Inc and Hasbro Interactive and all the rapid growth and success the company has had, it began acquiring software firms and became separate divisions instead of one united entity. The owner was over optimistic; he set very high target sales and revenues which led to lots of missed targets and caused Hasbro interactive to start losing money. Structural challenges were many from which we can mention: * Hasbro’s related companies departments didn’t report to the main division, * No strategic plans for the company (other than acquiring as many companies with no consideration of the prices), * Main division set very aggressive sales expectations due to overconfidence, * Huge revenues gained by Hasbro interactive were spent on large......
