Violent video games
Summary of the video clip

The main subject of this video “Do violent video games cause crime”. This video clip it’s a television program named Sunrise with two hosts there are interviewing two people, one of them is a psychiatrist name Dr. AZ and the other one is an online campaigner name Geordie Guy.
The hosts blame the violent video games because they mean they have an influence on the young people’s behavior. Subsequently there has been a 30 years investigation about how dangerous effect the video games can’t have on young people. But the results showed at the games is not dangerous, just because is not dangerous doesn’t mean the young people has to use many hours to play video games.
The hosts mean the young people are brainwashed a these violent video games, there also mean at the games have a sin to the real violent in the world. But the online campaigner doesn’t mean it’s the violent games can’t have a different effect on each individual person. Dr. AZ said at video games not affects everybody because everyone has their own personality. But for some people can’t violent video games give some idea to do suicide or their want to try to do some of the thing you can do on video games in the real life.
Discussion

Quote

This is the quote “Do you think that this normalizes the notion that we live in a violent society and there’s nothing you can do about that, so get used to it?” and I will discussed on the discussion.

Discussion

In this generation are we all grow up with modern technology like cellphones, laptop, TV and slot machine like a PlayStation 3 or a Wii and etc. Those things can brainwash young people no self-confidence, there want to change the old life style. This technology can have some positive and negative effects.
The positive with video games is, the children learns to be more creative when it treat of written a essay our stories furthermore require the player to make a decision . They many hours the player use on the computer teach the player how to use the most functions on the computer and that’s a advantages in the future because this generation only use modern technology.
When there young children are playing online video games there can video chat with other people It is just stupid because they decided to show how good there are, and only expect to get a positive answer from the online player. However, many of them do not have a good playing talent but think they do, therefore they cannot stand the fact that they got rejected or lost an online match.
On the other hand the negative side on playing video games, when a young child use more in 8 or more hours on playing games in a dark room with no light it will at last ruining the players sight, when a young child play video games there like to eat some snacks sometimes gradually mount up the fat subsequently the child are become an overweight person there got lifelong diseases.
“Do you think that this normalizes the notion that we live in a violent society and there’s nothing you can do about that, so get used to it?” I will not get used to violent in my city if there are violent at any place in the world everybody needs to stand side by side to solve this big problem. If nobody do something with this problem it will just take control and finally we had to give up because is nothing to do.
The violent video games can’t give bulled children some idea to revenge over other people they want to shoot people like in call of duty or drive like a crazy person and shoot people in the street like in GTA. Those games can’t give weak children some crazies’ ideas. But I will give Dr. AZ right it’s dependent on the every child’s self-confidence because there are strong and weak children.
One of the solutions to solve this problem is to stop produce violent video games there infect people especially to young people because there are too easy to manipulate because there are naive and believe in almost everything, that’s make the thing very difficult. The other solution is to make the age limit higher so it’s not all young children can get the violent video games.
To be honest I do not think it is worth to use almost all the ones time on video games, due to the fact that it is almost impossible to avoid the stress and pressure when you are playing online with other people and sometimes the online players have a tendency to bully other. That’s make sometimes a damage, it doesn’t can be irreparable. I maybe understand how creative someone can be because they are interested in the story and the constructer the video games have.…...

All You Need Is Love

...is a boundless feeling when you are loved, but it is also important to give love back so you can be happy together. Many people say: All you need is love. But what is the meaning of this. When people feel loved nothing else matters. I would say, that just as important it is to be loved, just as important it is to give love back. It is important that people around you can feel your love, and then they can be happy because of you. The truth is, when you give love, you will get a lot of things back. Not just love, but also happiness, smiles, and often will this love be so convincing, that it will be hard to break. Not everyone will experience this kind of love, but everyone will experience love. It can be love between siblings, love between friends, love to your parents or children. Actually it can just be the love for your dog or cat. They can also feel the love and give love back. They just have their own way. There is also another popular expression from the time where The Beatles made their song, “All you need is love”. The song became very popular and was connected to the expression “Make Love not War”. When you feel love, you also feel strong. It gives you power and strength. That is a very important point in the song and in the phrase. It gives you the ability to feel that you can do everything you want. Suddenly you do not care about what other people think about you. Why? Because you are loved, and because you express love yourself. You may start thinking that......

Supporting the Needs of All Learners

...Supporting the Needs of All Learners For this week's assignment, I chose to travel back to EDU648: Teaching & Learning with Technology. In this class our assignment was to create a PowerPoint presentation that described the aspects of the Dynamic Instruction Design Model. The Dynamic Instruction Design Model, incorporates the needs of all learners in its' very core. The Dynamic Instruction Design Model was developed by Lever, Duffy, and McDonald. It is a six step model, built around a continual internal and external feedback loop, with each step containing opportunities for feedback, and revision within it. The six steps are Knowing the Learners, Articulating the Objectives, Establishing a Learning Environment, Identify Teaching and Learning Strategies, Selecting Technologies, and Evaluation and Revision of the lesson. By utilizing the(DID)Model, all learners have the opportunity to participate and grow as students. For instance Knowing our Learners is the first step. As teachers it is our job to Assess our learners developmental stages, both physically and cognitively. I see a huge difference between the 6th grades I teach, and the 8th graders I teach. It is important to know the students prior knowledge, and their learning style. How many times have you sat in a class, and been completely bored, due to the method the teacher used to present the information? By knowing their learning styles, we as educators can better......

...Part One: Analysis Assumptions Kelly Thomas - Senior Engineer, Product Development 4-6 Assumptions 1First and foremost, Kelly assumed that Pat, Director of Marketing, knew nothing about quality control. 2He also assumed that all the features for the retinal scanner could not be developed in the time frame allotted. 3The third assumption made by Kelly was that he assumed AcuScan would not have the staff to develop a new product because of lay-offs the previous year. 4Finally, he assumed Pat did not have the technological experience since his past experience was with the cereal business. Pat Lambert - Director of Marketing 6-9 Assumptions Pat is not without fault. 1His assumptions led him to believe that the new product would be a simple addition to the product line. 2He also assumed that the programmers had plenty of time to work on new product even with staff cuts in the previous year. 3His third assumption was that because others were not agreeing with him they were not committed to the new product. 4Pat assumed that the job could be done by outside contractors in the time frame called for. 5As with many project managers, Pat assumed a meeting would resolve all problems. 6As far as the customer is concerned, Pat assumed they would be happy with whatever product was developed and launched since AcuScan has been an industry leader for a decade. 7Finally, Pat assumed Kelly was against him since Kelly questioned his QC experience and knowledge. If You Need Love, Get a Puppy

...ISSUES IN ACCOUNTING EDUCATION Vol. 24, No. 2 May 2009 pp. 237–252 If You Need Love, Get a Puppy: A Case Study on Professional Skepticism and Auditor Independence Robert L. Braun and H. Lynn Stallworth ABSTRACT: The purpose of this teaching case is to expand students’ understanding of the concepts of professional skepticism and independence. The case is based on an actual incident and illustrates the exercise of professional skepticism by a staff auditor who finds himself in the uncomfortable situation of accusing a friend of fraud. The case demonstrates the difficult personal and professional choices that auditors must sometimes make. In analyzing the case, students consider auditor independence rules, as well as the concepts of independence in appearance and independence in mental attitude. Students are asked to identify the types of audit evidence and internal controls needed to detect and prevent the fraud, and to consider the appropriate audit response to an adverse situation. Keywords: auditing; professional skepticism; fraud; independence; internal controls; misappropriation of assets. L THE CASE ife is good, thought Will Stallard as he got into his truck that October morning. He could have been thinking of any one of a number of things—his wife of seven years, his beautiful baby girl, or his job as a staff auditor at Dykstra, Banister, and Huston (DB&H), a CPA firm with offices in Montgomery and Mobile, Alabama. Or, maybe it was the slight chill in the air and......

All We Need Is Love

...In America there seems to be a major problem. It has hindered this country since America was founded. It has been used against Native Americans, Japanese, and Black Americans. The problem is racism. If this country wants to become truly great racism must be eliminated. Racism is a blot on society that has transgressed mankind over hundreds of years. It is conscience of humans that few things are far superior to others. In his words, Martin Luther King wrote that “we (the citizens of the United States) are caught in an inescapable network of mutuality, tied in a single garment of destiny. Whatever affects one directly, affects all indirectly. Never again can we afford to live with the narrow, provincial ‘outside agitator’ idea. Anyone who lives inside the United States can never be considered an outsider anywhere within its bounds.” Hence, I feel that racism has no place in a united and progressive nation. Racial discrimination only leads to the corrosion of the foundation and structure that make the United States of America great. I find that there is truth in the writer’s statement that “freedom is never voluntarily given by the oppressor; it must be demanded by the oppressed.” I can say that racism is a euphemism for dictatorship. As what history is telling us, persons in authority find it hard to relinquish their position and tend to be corrupted by power itself. This creates a state of dictatorship wherein the freedom of the people is greatly limited. Laws are created......

...the arrows show how energy flows from one level to another. The green plants are the producers because they food are produced by the process of photosynthesis by using sunlight, water and carbon of the food chain. The second order consumers are carnivores because the herbivores are their food. Therefore, carnivores are in the second-order consumer because they depend on the first-order consumer to produce energy. * Review Figure 4-12, "Energy pyramids in two food chains" in Ch. 4 of Environmental Science. The figure description states, " ...more food is available to those societies that eat lower on the food chain". Explain what this means by comparing pyramids (a) and (b). Do the benefits of eating lower on the food chain inspire you to make changes in your diet? Why or why not?  As it shows in the diagram, the most energy is gain from food at lower levels of the food chain. For instance, it the higher levels of the pyramid 10% are the only amount of energy that is transferred from one level to the next. In the case of the lower trophic levels provide and transfer the higher energy. Therefore, the energy transfers decrease as the level increase or get higher. The consumption of more producers in the lower levels should be consumer by the higher trophic levels so that more energy transfers in the consumption process. Therefore, the benefits of consumer food from the lower level of the food chain has inspired me to make changes necessary in my diet because I......

Thanksgiving is important to my family because we get together and eat. We see, smell and taste good food. When my family gets together we eat and gossip and talk. I like to hear the laughter that comes from everybody having a good time. Thanksgiving is significant in my life because I get to see all of my family. I only get to see all my family once or twice a year. This is a time we get together and find what they have been up to. We tell stories or play game and watch football on tv. We joke around and hang out and eat. Our Thanksgiving day starts off with everybody in the kitchen cooking and talking. I usually am cleaning while they all cook in the kitchen. We set a nice table with our good dishes and silverware. We get to eat a big ham, a delicious turkey, homemade macaroni and many other dishes. One of my favorite food is yams. Fmla - What You Need to Know

...THE FAMILY AND MEDICAL LEAVE ACT WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW The Family and Medical Leave Act – What You Need To Know The Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) became public law on February 5, 1993. Its purpose is to grant family and temporary medical leave under certain circumstances that will allow the employee to balance the demands of their job with the needs of their families. Some examples of eligible leave are: for the birth or adoption of a child, to care for an (eligible) family member that has a serious health condition or because the employee themselves have a serious health condition and is unable to work for an extended period of time. Further, the FMLA was enacted in order to minimize employment discrimination based on gender by allowing leave for eligible medical reasons, as well as for family reasons, for both men and women. (DOL.gov, n.d) While the FMLA has been a law for over 20 years, there are still many facets to it that continue to confuse both employers and employees. For employers it important to know what the leave is for, is it for them or a family member, if for a family member is it an eligible family member, how long the employee needs to be off and are they eligible for leave in the first place. Denying leave for any reason can be a possible FMLA pitfall that could result in a lawsuit so employers must treat lightly. Employee concerns are somewhat similar – am I eligible, can I take leave to care for (family......

All What They Need Is Love

...psychological stress for the adopted kid. However, studies show that most arguments against gay and lesbian adopting rights are obsolete and irrationally conservative. There is a constantly increasing number of children that desperately need a loving home because their biological parents cannot rear them, and there are also countless same-sex couples willing to provide those unwanted children with all the love and stability that they deserve. The argument that growing up with gay or lesbian adoptive parents traumatizes children is a myth, and the most recent family studies corroborate this fact. It is important to first understand why same-sex couples wish to adopt. As opposed to most heterosexual couples-which consider adoption only after trying fertility treatments of all kinds- most homosexual couples see adoption as their first and only choice for parenting. (Jennings et al., 2014) Gay and lesbian couples are generally less attached to the concept of genetic parenthood, and they are more open to adopt children with whom they share no genetic makeup. (Jennings et al., 2014) Altruism, and the desire to raise children that are more tolerant to others, is one common motivation for gay couples that wish to adopt. (Jennings et al., 2014) Children that need to be adopted often come from violent, hostile family environments. Their biological parents frequently have a history of alcohol or illicit drugs abuse. On the other hand, many of the gay couples seeking for children to......

Do You Need Help?

...(DQ1) Do you think the judicial branch is the least dangerous branch of government, as the video discusses? Why or why not? Discuss one example you think demonstrates the power of the Supreme Court. Jina’s Response:      The Judicial Branch was called "the least dangerous branch" by Alexander Hamilton because they could not be influenced by one side or another, simply have the job of give the "right and necessary" decision on the cases. They can not or will  force, their decision will be for judgement. Thus, it's roles and power would be limited.      Although, the power is for judgement, they are truly slow. When a case is chosen, it pass months and more months after the decision can be reached, and for me, if they are there for judgement, why the wait?; I understand, the cases are several, but taking months for a decision is just "ridiculous" for me.       The opinions about the power they have are really disperse. Some think the Judicial Branch has not power at all, as Alexander Hamilton once said, just for judgement, because the Congress has control over almost all. But many others think that the Judicial Branch it is the most dominant branch of the government, because its power influence each individual of this Nation.      I agree, in part, the Judicial Branch has become very powerful, but surely is not the most powerful. Other branches of the government have clearly more power and control of many issues of the society. For example the Executive Branch or the......
